SPDC are offering a one day accredited Level 1 Makaton course!

Led by Sam, a certified Makaton Tutor and parent carer, this engaging workshop provides a warm, relaxed environment where participants can build confidence and develop practical communication skills. The session is interactive, supportive, and ideal for both beginners and those who joined the taster session.

What is Makaton?

Makaton is an inclusive language programme that uses speech, signs, and symbols to support people with learning or communication difficulties. It is widely used across schools, health and social care settings, and within families to strengthen understanding, reduce frustration, and improve connection.

What You’ll Gain
