Support When You Need It

Online and Out-of-Hours Support for Carers

Caring responsibilities do not always fit neatly into office hours. You may need information late at night, be unable to leave the person you care for, or be balancing caring with work, family life and other commitments.

That is why a range of online and flexible support is available, helping you access information, advice and connection at a time and place that works for you.

Coming Soon: 24/7 Website Chatbot

We are developing our Sandwell Carers Service virtual assistant that will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through this website.

Once launched, you will find the chatbot in the bottom right-hand corner of the page. Simply type your question to receive instant information and guidance about your caring role.

Carer Friendly Forum

Stay connected with other Carers by joining our private Carer Friendly Forum for Carers on Facebook. The group gives Carers a welcoming space to:

  • connect with other people who understand caring
  • ask questions and share experiences
  • exchange practical tips and ideas
  • offer and receive peer support

Sometimes the most useful advice comes from another Carer who has faced a similar situation. Join the Carer Friendly Forum today.

Online Carer Support Groups

We know that caring responsibilities can make it difficult to leave home or attend face-to-face groups. Kissing it Better, in partnership with Forward Carers, offers free Carers Coffee Catch-Ups on Zoom in the morning and evening:

  • Mondays at 10:30am
  • Thursdays at 5:00pm
  • Fridays at 10:30am

Grab a tea or coffee and connect with other Carers from the comfort of your own home. You can share experiences, chat, listen or simply enjoy being around people who understand. There is no pressure to speak or have your camera switched on – you can take part in whatever way feels comfortable for you.

Register to join a Carers Coffee Catch-Up.

You can also contact Kissing it Better by emailing mail@kibmail.co.uk or calling 07831 136152.
