Sandwell Carers Service Carers Week Event 2026
Forward Carers are thrilled to bring together unpaid Carers, community organisations, statutory services and partners from across Sandwell for your Carers Week Event 2026.
This year’s celebration will take place at the beautiful Sandwell Valley Visitor Centre, offering Carers a chance to take a well-deserved break, enjoy time outdoors, meet new people and learn more about the support available locally.
Caring for someone can be rewarding, but it can also be demanding. Many Carers spend so much time focusing on the needs of others that they rarely get time for themselves. This event has been designed to give Carers space to pause, relax and enjoy a few hours away from their usual routine.
Whether you are a Carer, support someone who is, or work in a service that supports Carers, this event offers a welcoming space to discover support and meet others.

What to expect?
This is a Family Friendly event which will comprise of entertainment, wellness activities, workshops, and plenty more.
Throughout the day, Carers will have the chance to take part in activities that support wellbeing, learn new skills, speak to local organisations and enjoy a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Midland Mencap will also be bringing their Parkride Scheme, giving Carers the chance to experience their accessible bikes around the Sandwell Valley Park Grounds.
There will be free refreshments throughout the day, and you are welcome to pop in at any time.
There will be activities for the whole family… and dogs are also welcome!
You do not need to stay for the full event. Whether you can join us for half an hour or the whole day, you will be very welcome.
