Better Understanding of Dementia for Sandwell (BUDS)

Activity Sessions Monday to Friday for the person living with dementia. The sessions provide opportunities to socialise, receive support and companionship, have fun, enjoy a hot meal, and take part in a variety of stimulating activities.  The sessions also provide carers with a regular weekly respite break. Our Carer Support Officer provides one to one support, advice and information to carers and families. Our monthly carer coffee morning provides opportunities for peer support, advice and socialising. We also provide training and awareness sessions for carers and family members throughout the year.

Activity Sessions (Mon–Fri, 10.30am–1.30pm)
For people living with dementia, offering social opportunities, companionship, stimulating activities, and a hot meal. Carers benefit from a regular respite break. Referral and assessment required—please contact us to discuss.

Support for Carers
Our Carer Support Officer offers one-to-one advice and information. We also run monthly coffee mornings for peer support and socialising, plus training and awareness sessions for carers and families throughout the year.
