DESCRIPTION:Are you looking to build your confidence\, develop new skills and get support to return to work? \nStarting in September\, the New Horizons programme offers a range of learning\, wellbeing and employment support to help you take your next steps. \nThe programme is open to people aged 19+ who are: \n💼 Long-term unemployed💚 Living with a long-term illness or disability🤝 A Carer \nWhat support is available?\n👥 Face-to-face workshops covering teamwork\, equality and diversity\, communication skills\, maths\, English\, digital skills\, workplace skills\, budgeting and money. \n💚 Health and wellbeing support including resilience\, mindfulness\, self-confidence\, healthy eating\, exercise and fitness\, and first aid. \n📚 Independent learning – depending on the programme you choose\, you can complete online learning at your own pace. The Sandwell Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme is back for Summer 2026\, offering a fantastic range of activities for eligible children and young people across the borough. \nFrom sports and creative workshops to outdoor adventures and SEND-friendly sessions\, there is something for every child to enjoy. \nWho Can Take Part?\nThe programme is available to school-aged children attending a Sandwell school who receive benefit-related free school meals. \nDates\nTuesday 21 July – Monday 31 August 2026(Excluding Sundays and Bank Holidays) \nBookings open: 1 July 2026 \nActivities Available\nChildren can choose from a wide variety of activities\, including: \n\nActivities for primary school children\nActivities for secondary school children\nInclusive activities for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)\nSports\, arts and crafts\, outdoor adventures\, games and much more\n\nActivities take place across all six Sandwell towns\, and families can book sessions at any location within the borough. \nHow to Book\nFor HAF-Eligible FamiliesEligible families will receive a HAF Activity Voucher by email or text message.
